In today’s list of things that definitely didn’t happen, Lee Anderson reckons he used to ‘game’ the benefits system when he worked at Citizens Advice.
This is not the first time Anderson has peddled lies about benefits. Previously, he took to X to bang on about children with ADHD being “thrown a load of money and forgotten about”.
Anderson said:
We used to fill the form out for clients … I can tell you now, we were gaming the system.
He claimed he knew advisers who had a 100% “hit rate” and could get the “fittest man in Ashfield onto Personal Independence Payment.”
But importantly, he’s using all of this as a platform to call for the slashing of disability benefits.
Only yesterday, 29 October, Anderson decided that the Motability scheme is a “complete scandal”. He went on to say that disabled people should be forced to drive around in a blue three-wheeler.

I don’t know how many times we need to say it, but Motability cars are not free:
Reform now going after our disabled folk. Telling mistruths and getting people to hate the disabled. And before anyone says anything I have first hand experience of getting a mobility vehicle, they ARE NOT FREE!!!! https://t.co/04otUCGYcF

Where’s a wheelchair fitting in a three-wheeler? Or the kids? This man clearly does not have a clue and should be nowhere near power:
@LeeAndersonMP_ please can you explain why my disabled daughter with quadriplegic cerebral palsy isn’t entitled to a decent car? It’s a Peugeot by the way.
Secondly please explain how she would get a motorized wheelchair into a blue three wheeler?
Will I get a response? Doubtful https://t.co/HyqkClq4Lv— Mr F🙋♂️ (@bluerover77) October 30, 2025
Lee’s logic
Well, we call bullshit.
Most mental health workers and benefits advisors will not go anywhere near PIP forms. Why? Because they are a minefield. (Yes, Anderson, minefield, not Minesweeper, with your lil game obsession).
As of April this year, just over half of all PIP applications are successful. However, this varies dramatically depending on disability.
As with anything, someone will take the piss. But the PIP fraud rate is 0.4%.
That’s a lower percentage than Reform councillors who have been fired or expelled for various scandals since the May election.
17 of the 36 Reform councillors that were elected during the May 2024 election have either been suspended or expelled from the party. Thats 47%. By Lee’s logic, we should abolish Reform because clearly, if a few people take the piss, the lot should go.
So, because *some* families, and I’m guessing here it’s a very small percentage, *might* take the piss, the Motability scheme should rewind itself back to 1978. Makes sense. https://t.co/M3Dx17reV5

Bullshit
Reform has claimed that their government would stop providing PIP payments to recipients with “non-major anxiety” and put those people on a “Fast Track to Work’ programme.” First of all, people with non-major anxiety are not claiming PIP. That is a myth, and the right-wing seems to think that if they repeat it enough times, it will become fact.
Reform also claims the “Fast Track to Work” scheme would include talking therapy and would have a budget of half a billion pounds. Where are they getting that money from? And how are they planning to clear the already long waiting lists for talking therapy on the NHS?
Hypocrisy
Let’s not forget that Lee Cunterson makes £100k a year working for GB News, alongside his £93,904 MP salary.
From 2024 to 25, the clown claimed £25,553.80 in accommodation expenses. But apparently, disabled people needing a bit of help is where he draws the line. What’s his excuse? Housing hardship caused by being a massive fucking hypocrite?
Cruel insensitive W⚓️ making a mint out of expenses claims from the tax payer and a lot more than a disability benefit receiver!! https://t.co/sK7FvKygaz

And according to the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority, this ‘accommodation’ was a hotel. He has such a problem with migrants staying in taxpayer-funded hotels, yet he’s happy to rack up a £25k taxpayer bill for his own hotel.
He is the definition of hypocrisy.
Sarah Pochin, @SarahForRuncorn, was absolutely correct. There are far too many minorities on TV at the moment. Look at these 2 for example. From a tiny minority party, disliked by the majority in #Britain but getting far too much air time. Time they were taken off. #ReformUK https://t.co/iv7Doou7qL

And you can guess who Lee’s not gunning for – it’s billionaires, it’s rich people, it’s tax avoiders, and it’s ignorant twats like himself.
It’s the perpetual wheel of blame. Asylum seekers, disabled people, the unemployed, the under employed, spin the wheel for this weeks scapegoats. Guess who isn’t on the wheel, tax avoiders and evaders.

Wish this cunt for once would blame the multi millionaires/billionaires who avoid tax rather than punching down at normal every day people trying to have something to make their lives just a little bit less shit https://t.co/6KJS0YxiLS

Once again, Reform politicians are peddling lines about how easy it is to get on disability benefits and people playing the system, which we know to be untrue.
At the same time, he is putting the blame on vital services like Citizens Advice, who only try to help people navigate a difficult and dehumanising system. And they usually do so whilst chronically underfunded.
Reform will continue to attack vulnerable people because it’s the only tactic they have, shy of any real policies. But the number of their councillors and MPs the party has already expelled, fired, or forced to resign already shows you just how seriously we should be taking this party.
