New polling has shown the Green Party are a hairβs breadth away from Labour:

This is happening as the Greens hit 150,000 members for the first time:
π¨ | @TheGreenParty has hit 150,000 members.
Itβs incredible that in less than two months, the party has grown from 68,500 to 150,000.

The Green Party are growing
On 16 October, we reported that the Greens had drawn level with Labour in a poll from Find Out Now:

π΄ Labour: 15% (-2)
π Lib Dems: 12% (-)Changes from 8th October

While this was heartening to see, it was just one poll, and the Greens were more than ten points behind in the poll average:
π¨ POLL AVERAGE | Reform leads by 10%

They were also five percentage points behind Labour with YouGov β the same pollster who puts them at one point behind now:

The Greens have also raced forwards with a third pollster this week too:
π¨ BREAKING | Greens surge to **17%**

At this point, itβs getting harder and harder to deny that weβre seeing a Green surge. This is especially true given that they just hit 150,000 members:
With all the milestones, how extraordinary this is can get lost!
Last Sunday on the BBC I announced we overtook the Tories at 124k members.
Thatβs +26,000 members in the last week.
Hope is feeling normal againβ¦. https://t.co/YNegWe9y7y

Itβs looks like Polanski is having what you could call the βreverse Starmer effectβ β i.e. the longer heβs leader, the more the public warm to him and his policies. As such, itβs no wonder Labour insiders may be plotting to bring down their own prime minister.
