At 78-years-old, Trump was the oldest man to ever be elected US president. On what we’re sure is an unrelated note, he posted what looks like a private message to his Truth Social platform on 20 September:

“Remarkable public message” from Trump

His message to Bondi follows exchanges like the following:

Trump VS free speech
The Canary has covered Trump’s crackdown on free speech, which has seen the US targeting activists, media figures, and ordinary members of the public. This crackdown may be evident in how media outlets have covered his latest message to Bondi. Most seem reluctant to accuse Trump of posting the message by accident, although Politico did hint at it here (emphasis added):
It was a remarkable public message to the nation’s top law enforcement officer, linking his personal grievances over his own criminal prosecutions and congressional impeachments to a potential decision by federal prosecutors to level criminal charges against his adversaries. Trump’s frustration stemmed in part, he said, from “30 statements and posts” from allies that complained “nothing is being done” to punish his longtime rivals.
Trump has given the media good reason to tread carefully, as he’s launched lawsuits against ABC News, CBS, and the New York Times, with the first two settling for millions.
This is what authoritarianism is about: government silencing dissenting voices.

A judge has now thrown out the New York Times case, stating:
a complaint remains an improper and impermissible place for the tedious and burdensome aggregation of prospective evidence, for the rehearsal of tendentious arguments, or for the protracted recitation and explanation of legal authority putatively supporting the pleader’s claim for relief.
We have no idea what this means either, but presumably it translates to ‘case no good’. The following is a bit easier to understand at least:

Crack down
Of course, the big story isn’t that Trump is seemingly too old to text; it’s that he’s launching an authoritarian crackdown because ‘posters’ accused him of being “all talk, no action”.
We agree with Trump that “JUSTICE MUST BE SERVED”; we just don’t think he has any idea of what that would look like in practice.
